What Does a Chief Logistics Officer Do?

It is the job of the Chief Logistic officer to manage the transfer of the goods or the services of a company in order to facilitate smooth business operations. Logistics employment opportunities entail the formulation of a strategy by which a sufficient stock of inventory, vendors and staff can be kept to ensure the production of goods in appropriate numbers and their eventual delivery to the customers.

In order to hold a portfolio in purchasing along with logistics, you will need to get professional certification such as the CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager Certification). In order to get this certification, you will require a bachelors or an associate degree in business management, logistics or engineering.
