Seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to provide analytical, logistics and configuration management support for mine warfare, coastal patrol and other surface ship classes on behalf of NAVSEA (SEA 21) PMS 443. The Logistics Analyst applies professional talents and subject matter expertise toward development and support of logistics documentation such as plans, schedules, briefings, reports, correspondence, technical instructions, technical procedures or related material.
General Responsibilities:
The candidate should possess the ability to track, process, produce and distribute deliverables and monitor comment status; collect and analyze performance data; assess and quantify cost/ schedule/ performance and risk; and prepare and coordinate inputs for acquisition documentation, status reports, briefings and information inquiries.
Coordinates Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings. Supporting tasks include interfacing with participating activities for collection of data and presentations. Develop brief for client. Draft formal correspondence for meeting announcement and minutes. Track and assist with resolution of assigned actions.
Access and extract information from various Navy data bases including Navy Data Environment (NDE), Navy Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and One Touch Support (OTS).
Supports the Technical Assessment Team (TAT) Ship Change Document (SCD) approval process by performing logistics reviews.
Reviews End of Availability (EOA)/ILS Verification letters issued by Regional Maintenance Centers/Ship Repair Facilities.
Provides client a summary of findings including deficient ILS products and actions taken to resolve.
Assists in the preparation of reports, briefings, and project plans to describe activities planned and accomplished.
Analyzes weekly and monthly reports submitted by ships and maintenance organizations.
Coordinates with numerous stakeholders to schedule and execute periodic conferences in fleet concentration areas.
Demonstrate Microsoft Office program skills and excellent presentation skills to develop briefings, documents, papers, conceptual and analytical reports for clients.
Demonstrate initiative to self-start, when required, with little direction or guidance.
Demonstrate reading and understanding of official Navy correspondence and instructions.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
An Active DoD Secret clearance.
A Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years directly relevant work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.
In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 20 years applicable work experience.
Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
Other Skills Preferred:
Familiarity with Navy maintenance and modernization processes and implementation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Professionalism with members of the NAVSEA and Navy ship sustainment enterprise (whether in-person or on-line communications).
Knowledge of the client industry, customers, organization, and business objectives as well as problem solving capability.
Use knowledge of process improvement, strategic planning, change management, and organizational redesign in determining solutions.
