Digital Product Manager
– Replenishment Solutions
to our team. This is a brand-new role within the organization that will help the enterprise reach the next generation of digital transformation by being relentlessly focused on creating capabilities that eliminate the need for our customers to manage inventory and to manually reorder our products. We are looking for a genuinely curious thought leader who will immerse himself/herself in our current replenishment service offerings and challenge the status quo to launch new industry leading digital products and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in building vendor / customer managed inventory solutions that utilize IoT technology to serve customers and internal users.
This role will be responsible for creating and owning the product roadmap to enable capabilities that deliver auto-replenishment services to our customers, real-time visibility into inventory consumption, efficient route planning and optimization and efficient internal processes to support a high-level of customer service. The incumbent will:
Partner with business unit and supply chain stakeholders to understand and map existing processes, identify opportunities and use a hypothesis-driven approach to deliver measurable, high-impact outcomes.
Build the business case: Create justification for new investment / development; be accountable to deliver the proposed value, benefits, and objectives; align the product strategy and roadmap with value to be delivered
Deliver the product strategy and roadmap: define the product vision, product market fit, identify its focus, how we will get there, and the sequence of activities required to meet the vision of providing an exceptional customer experience: This includes: Identifying and defining internal features that control our cost to serve and improve our efficiency
Presenting information to our customers at the right place and right time
Improving the customer experience by leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, Blockchain
Socialize globally: Understand regional requirements; build partnerships with global business leaders and accelerate adoption of the solution in the enterprise globally
Own the capability: Continuously monitor, review, and improve people, process, technology, and assets used to create value for the enterprise including: Manage stakeholder and customer expectations
Managing and improving data accuracy for accurate customer experience
Establishing and maintaining scalable processes that ensure best practices in implementing the new service offering
Document processes, recommend and implement system and process improvements to enhance the customer experience and productivity
Determine the plan for the sunsetting or integration of old systems to enhance the customer experience
Measure KPIs – defines and reports performance of leading and lagging indicators against product goals
Deliver the product strategy and roadmap that defines the product vision, its focus, how we will get there, and the sequence of activities required to meet the vision. Continue to iterate on the roadmap to create justification for new developments and drive a cross-functional team to deliver the proposed value, benefits, and objectives
Champion design thinking and lean product strategy principles to develop and continuously refine the product backlog
Define and prioritize Epics and User Stories in partnership with the development and UX team to ensure work is aligned with value and the product strategy
Create tools and materials required to promote and socialize and implement the capability throughout the enterprise
Capture customer insights and provide voice of customer feedback to enhance the digital product backlog
Prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews to senior leadership to provide visibility into progress, socialize learning, and drive additional investment / funding decisions
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Build business cases and present opportunities and ROI to gain necessary approval for investments.
Measure and report performance of development efforts against business case assumptions.
Manage projects / initiatives through the stage gate to ensure projects in portfolio are optimized for needs of the business.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business or other related quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience.
3 years of relevant work experience in new product introductions, procurement, supply planning, manufacturing, or finance.
3 years of experience creating, iterating, and improving digital products.
Experience leading and/or collaborating with cross-functional team to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
Experience in developing new products from visioning through strategic decision-making, funding and go-to market strategy.
Strong understanding of distribution industry
Ability to effectively communicate and present to various levels of the organization
Experience as a change agent at senior levels of the organization
Detail and deadline oriented
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Master’s in related field of study preferred
In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
Experience with design thinking and lean product strategy preferred
Understanding of IoT platforms and the challenges that come with implementing digital solutions displaying data from edge devices.
Experience working with product development lifecycle.
Experience across industries in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution and manufacturing software product management design and trends.
