SUMMARY

Global Asset Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Supply Technician, Inventory for Supply Services Contract at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The purpose of the position is to perform limited aspects of technical supply management work related to interface with depot, local, or other supply and customer activities. Work is segregated by function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.  Assignments relate to standardized segments of technical supply management operations within Air Force Base Supply sections that include Inventories, Document Control, and Asset Management.  This work includes use of the Enterprise Supply-Solutions or other automated equipment systems.  Unless otherwise noted in the contract statement of work, all paragraphs in Air Force Instruction 23-101, and Air Force Manual 23-122 relating to assigned functional area are binding contractual services and required employee duties.  General working hours are day shift (0700-1600), however, personnel may be required to work other shifts or be assigned other duties in response to a wide array of operational situations as they arise.  Responsible for work center cleanliness.  A 90-day probationary period is mandatory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, i.e., Logistics Readiness Squadron

Good working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, work methods, guidance

Analytical ability to define or recognize the whole problem or program involved, to collect necessary data, establish facts, and take or recommend action based on application or interpretation of established guidelines

Work within a framework of established supply guidance, policies, procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines

Coordinate with internal and external customers concerning program/customer requirements

Conduct physical inventories of warehouse assets, supply points, and Readiness Spares Packages

Maintain suspense files for inventory adjustments, Record Reversal and Correction (RRC) and other supporting documentation

Manage and control rejects resulting from item records being frozen for inventory to include lifting the freeze code

Manage Supply Discrepancy Report program

When required, completion of the M-10 validation / coordination for signature of the Accountable Officer

Assist in developing the annual inventory schedules that will include the semi-annual Communication Security/Controlled Cryptographic Item (COMSEC/CCI) and small arms/light weapons reconciliations

Assist with accomplishing the semiannual validation of Receipt for Classified Property list

Assist in managing Delinquent Document program

Assist in researching statistical data, prepare slides for briefs to Squadron, Group, or Wing executive meetings.  Attends meetings and briefs slides when required

Accountable for meeting contract requirements, company policies and procedures and safety performance standards in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety regulations

Responsible for prompt reporting of accidents/incidents, injuries, and hazardous situations and violations to the Project Manager or Material Coordinator Lead

Use provided software / computer programs to produce listings for distribution, research and inventories

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications:

Hold a minimum Secret security clearance, commensurate with property/computer systems accessed

High school graduate or equivalent

Possess a valid state driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate both orally and writing with internal and external clients and co-workers.

Proficient in interpreting data and supply management historical information

Skilled in Microsoft suite of programs.

Proficient in use of Integrated Logistics System–Supply (ILS-S) or other Remote Processing Systems.

Preferred:

Associates Degree in Material Management

Completion of USAF basic Materiel Management Course

15 years of experience in Air Force Base Supply related work

Ability to operate material handling equipment

Ability to maneuver around warehouse sites; sees, hears, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients.  Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, squatting, stretching, and bending for prolonged periods of time.  At times lift and carry as much as 35 pounds. Visual acuity to review written documentation and ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.  Additionally, work is performed in non-climatically controlled warehouses and outdoor environments to include periods of high heat.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
