Logistics Shipping Jobs
A logistics shipping professional is responsible for performing various tasks relating to shipping of goods in a logistics department. Specific duties of a logistic shipping professional may include coordinating with clients or vendors regarding shipping of raw materials; following up with clients, drivers, and department members for shipping information; assisting in availing facilities for shipping activities; making arrangements for trucks and other vehicles; supervising logistics personnel or workers; looking out for improvements in the entire shipping process; working with other department members; assisting in formulation of training modules and performing several other tasks. A logistics shipping professional typically reports to a logistics manager.
A logistics shipping professional should have a high school diploma. An associate’s degree may be advantageous. Excellent academic credentials and strong knowledge of logistics are essential. Prior experience working as logistics shipping professional may be required.
