Logistics Representative Jobs

A logistics representative is responsible for performing day to day operational level activities in a logistics department. Specific duties of a logistics representative include assisting in logistics management; arranging for warehouse space; coordinating with vendors, clients and staff members; establishing business relationships with representatives from client companies; ensuring safe and secure transportation of goods of clients; coordinating with department members regarding scheduling of various transportation initiatives; working on special projects; travelling to clients' facilities; projecting the right image of the company and performing other tasks assigned by the logistics manager. A logistics representative typically reports to a logistics manager.
A logistics representative should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a relevant area. Prior experience working as a logistics representative or logistics associate may be helpful. Ability to multi-task and prioritized various activities are required.
