Logistics Management Jobs
A logistics management professional is responsible for managing inbound logistics and outbound logistics aspects related to goods. Specific duties of a logistics management professional include developing and administering integrated logistics strategies; performing various supply chain activities from manufacturing through information management support, warehousing, customer freight, order management, customer warehousing, and customer placement; ensuring that customer service objectives are best achieved with minimal costs; ensuring continuous improvement of standard logistics processes; building relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives; incorporating learning from customers, leaders, transportation, and customer service; arranging for warehouse facilities and performing several other tasks. A logistics management professional typically reports to the logistics director.
A logistics management professional should have a BA or BS degree. Excellent academic credentials and prior experience in a logistics management environment may be required.
