Logistics Assistant Jobs
A logistics assistant is responsible for performing various administrative or clerical tasks in a logistics department or supporting a logistics manager. Specific duties of a logistics assistant include performing data entry for the manager; receiving telephone calls; keeping contacts with industry experts; maintaining business relations on behalf of the manager; arranging for conference rooms; assisting in making travel arrangements; coordinating with vendors, clients and staff members; assisting in preparation of administrative or functional reports; receiving and preparing invoices on behalf of the manager; working on special projects; projecting the right image of the company through various transactions with clients and performing other tasks assigned by the logistics manager. A logistics assistant typically reports to a logistics manager.
A logistics assistant should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a relevant area. Prior experience working as a logistics assistant may be helpful. Ability to multi-task and familiarity with use of Microsoft Office applications are required.
